Advice on new rig!

Hey all,
My girlfriend's premade HP pavilion desktop always breaks few months after repairs are done. Techs said that its a graphics card fault and advised her to change it. She had changed it twice prior to the recent breakdown. I told her to ditch the premade rig and build a decent rig.

I have had tremendous amount of help from the community when I was building my rig a year back. And I know this is a great platform to receive help

She doesnt need a high end rig, just something that allows her to run "modern day graphics" games. She also needs to run 3Dsmax/Maya/ and photoshop on her computer. Her concern is the rendering power and graphics display for 3dsmax and Maya.

Price Range - Anything from 1.2k -- 1.5k

What kind of modern games is she playing? Skally Maple lol.
