Advice on New Rig

Hi Guys

Like to seek advice on the new rig I am getting. The last time I built a rig was like 5 years ago, and have lost touch with the market. So will like to seek all advice

Budget about 1.5 to 1.6k-ish. Budget is without KB, Mouse, Monitor. Have shortlisted the following.

Mobo + CPU
Asus P8H77-M with Intel 3570K

RAM
Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz CL9 8GB kit

OS HDD
Plextor M5S 128GB SSD

Storage HDD
WD Cavier Green 2TB

GPU
MSI GTX760 Hawk 2GB DDR5 OC

PSU
CoolerMaster V650S

Casing
CoolerMaster CM690 III

And may I know whats the difference between LGA1155 and LGA1150? TIA!

You can consider to go for Haswell.

if you dont mind the brand, can try Leadtek gtx 760 for around 340 with 3 yrs warranty, if you have the budget can get r9 280x, which is faster than the 760

You can only OC K series CPU with Z87 motherboard, and you should downscale your RAMs to value series one for substantial savings that can be catered for larger capacity SSD. And the price of that graphics card can already get you R9-280X card which is 1-2 tier more powerful. And lastly, there are PSU from more reputable brands that offer better quality for less.

Just go haswell sua.

From the looks of it i do not think you know about overclocking.

So i doubt you will need overclocking rig.

Hi jiaweii

Casing will be decided when I am at the shop. Personally looking at CM690 III. But I am building for a friend, so depends on him. :)

Anyway to add on, the rig will be used for Gaming and work. Games such as BF4 and work such as Photoshop Illustrator..

Hahaha if I never Rmb wrongly Wd green like low energy consuming right? Going green for the environment? Performance wise choose blue de or does he wants a low noise de rig?
