hi any recommend tours and hotel stay for 3d2n for 2 pax 4 star hotel
thank you in adv

Are you driving? If you are driving then stay anywhere is fine.

I stayed at cititel for my 3D2N trip. Nearby got red Garden hawker within walking distance and beside the hotel got many small traditional coffeeshop for makan.

We went - Lek kok si, Penang Hill, beach pasar malam, Khoo kongsi.

If you are not driving perhaps you may find this blog informative:
Penang Island 4 Days 3 Nights Short Getaway Trip Report - Singapore Travel Blog - Discover . Book . Travel

I heard from my Malaysian colleague that the nice Penang food are scattered all over penang and only known to the local people. Those featured one which tourists frequent are so so only according to them.

Enjoy your trip.

Bus 401E comes every 30 mins, sometimes faster depends on traffic conditions. To go to komtar, ringgit, $2, jetty bus terminal. $2.70. pay cash to driver. no change given

there are other buses like 401, but they loop through the other towns, which can take you quite some time.

Thank you very much bro, any idea where i can go to to view sunset? Best if around Georgetown as my hotel is there!

this is true. a lot of good food are located within their housing estates or nearby work places which are usually out of georgetown. e.g 1 of the best stall in balik pulau operate out of the front porch of his house.

for those who have many tourists, I find the quality comes back abit when the crowd is lesser, i.e try to go at non peak period. still nice la, but can find nicer ones.

george town dun have la, it is on the east side of the island. if u wan nice egg yolk scene, u have to go like bath ferringhi beach, penang hill, or the west side of the island, like teklu bahang, those kind.

if u just wan a nice evening scene, may or may not see the sun drop into the sea kind, u can go chew jetty or any of the clan jetties during the sunset timing. that is in george town.

self drive, bus or taxi?

u will clear immigration before 3pm. if dun waste time and take taxi to georgetown, u can still do the wall murals before dinner as many of the nice dinner places are actually after 7pm. on route, can even pop by chew jetty

u can also do penang 3d museum.

u can do a lot of things, what u like to do?

Use the driver for a broad view of the major places or faraway places...make sure you get out of georgetown.

Georgetown itself, can walk, or catch the CAT bus.

Any nice place at Mainland Penang? if so, how to get there by bus?

For foods, one can take Rapid Pg to Raja Uda. Other places may not accessible by buses likes Bukit Tambun seafood.

St Ann's Church and Penang Bird Park can access by Rapid Pg. For flyfies watching, you may take Rapid Pg to Nibong Tebal but may miss the last bus back to Penang. Foods are cheap here than Penang island, too.

if you guys come to Penang for food, you can download food directory brochure in visit penang website. it has george town and penang mainland food directories for year 2013. no new updated brochure is available at this time.
