by the way did anyone try their rapid bus?

I have taken many times. Even to and from the airport, which cost RM2.70 per trip.

The rapid bus in Penang is great. It is usually very clean and I find the bus driver friendly.

BTW, I have live for many years in KL and had never taken the bus in KL.

Anyone stay at The Northam All Suite before?
How is the condition of the rooms and is it near to those places of interest?
Anything to roam around at night nearby?

Thanks.

You have to do the comparison yourself, as the airfare varies from day to day, schedule to schedule and airline to airline. The 3 to compare are Tiger, Jetstar and AirAsia.

Currently jetstar has promotion to KL, think if you fly at their selected dates, the price is around 55+ onwards for two ways :)

The chances are that the prices will increase, since these are budget airlines. These being budget airlines, additional flights are also unlikely.

Will be driving to Penang from 5/9 - 9/9 !

Hi peepz,

I and a friend will be driving in my Nisan Latio to Penang on ths thursday 5/9.

We are thinking of staying at a beach front resort. Was checking the forum and was recommended Holiiday inn? is that good? or have better ones and easier for drivers>?

Also we are going to Gurney st and places. How is the parking at penang and the driving there? safe? Is it like Johor? Do we need to prepare anything inside the car?

We have a touch and go card. But that is all. Do we need any toll charge or something?

We will be relying on our handphone GPS. and Garmin GPS.

I think we are going to stop. at malacca, KL, Ipoh and finally Penang.

Also the bridge to penang is toll free or need a cost?

Many questions cos first time driving up to Penang. Te furthest we went is to Genting.

:)))) Appreciate

i think it's possible for travel agencies which offer customized packages~ but are you staying in penang for 1 day or you're just taking a day out of a schedule to tour around?

Why not self drive? It's more convenient. That's what I did on my trips to Penang. :)
