Advice on Setup

Hey guys, I'm building a new computer for the usage of photo and video editing (mainly photos) plus occasional gaming.

Here's the list I've came up with currently:

Asus Z87 Pro / Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H (CPU 4770)
Palit GTX 660Ti 2GB DDR5 Jetstream / Gigabyte GTX 660Ti 2GB DDR5 OC
G.Skill RipJawX 1600mhz 16GB
Crucial M500 240GB SSD
WD 1TB Caviar Blue
Seasonic M12II-750W

Left out the misc items like DVD roms and will probably picked them when I'm at the shop.
Budget is about 1.5-2k.

Any advice?

You do not need an Z87 board to go along with the non overclocked CPU.

All you need is a B85 board. And buying a gtx660ti can buy other new gen cards. And since you are on occasional gaming then just get the gtx760 will do.

the difference between 660ti and 760 is minimal?
and i don't need the the OS thus will probably be able to strike 100 out.

and also. it's only advisable to get a z87 board is it's the 4770k cpu?

760 is better in terms of memory bandwidth than the 660ti. Stock base clock is higher also. And more value for money as compared to the 660ti.

Z87 board with a 4770k. If you are planning to overclock it then you probably need to invest on a air cooler or a water cooling again which can cost you an additional ~ $65-$150.
