I just bought a new cpu and tried to fix the rig by myself. but i accidentally remove the thermal paste off the heat sink. i planning to buy thermal paste to put on it. what brand of thermal paste should i buy?

furthermore, must i take the whole motherboard out or i can just take out the heatsink for putting thermal paste. TIA :s12:

Put the thermal paste on the cpu which is mounted on the mobo. Then put the heatsink on it and lock.

You can consider artic mx4. Search in vrz,gt ppl selling at $10.50. Sls selling at $18.

Best is to remove it.

Cheapest solution to remove it is using Zippo. One of the cheapest way to remove it.
