as for customer service, i personally dun care as long as they dun try to fleece me or replace my parts. if u wanna know why, after one week all replacements and warranties will be covered by the distro instead of the shop. therefore, customer service in sls is overrated.

for lazy people who prefer to pay for the building service, i think pcthemes is ok as they won't try to fleece u and they have a fairly good reputation. but their prices are slightly higher la.

but if u want to save some extra money, go to tradepac. but go to tradepac only if u know what u want. they are very very likely to try and hardsell u other stuff by saying the thing that u wanted is out of stock. this is based on the accounts of some shoppers there. whatever replacement they suggest, u reject. tbh, even sls people dunno the hardware very well.

Actually to me good customer service includes store owners not trying to fleece me or replace my parts. A sincere seller who respects his/her customer is considered good customer service to me.

I wun say their prices are slightly higher as they are already selling at RRP. Is other shops wanna earn lesser profit but more volume by selling lower than RRP. Only a handful of shops sell above RRP.

Pretty much true. All at srp and not much nego room. I rather go tradepsc though.

TP is only for ppl who had done their research thoroughly, even if they are newbies. If it is not done properly, then not really recommended unless you have a fren who know such stuffs.

I'll just say the bait and switch part on alternative component choices are most concerning for people who aren't that well informed about specs before other considerations.

RMA'd stuff going back to the retail channel is nothing new. But the risk of encountering such an issue is higher on some channels than others. Like shadow said, research and how well informed an individual is matters.
