Hi, I got this problem. PC auto restart even though auto restart has been turned off, it should show BSOD instead. I have set the dump file to a custom directory. What could be the possible cause? My current suspect is the PSU, cause the PC restart so fast before it could create a dump file. (or should i do a clean install of OS into a separate SSD and see if the PC restart?)

I have tried Memtest, an hour into it, RAM has with no error but the PC restart again.
Event Log show: Kernel Power - Event ID 41

Specs: 2600k, Asus Maximus Extreme IV, Corsair Dominator 1866, HD7970, Corsair AX850, WD2TB. OS: Win7

Thanks in advance!

It might be the PSU.
Check the mainboard too for leaky capacitors.

That event error is raised whenever windows fails to shutdown gracefully. Did you overclock your processor? If not, I would suspect the PSU to be culprit.

Nope, i set everything in BIOS back to default. It still restart. I will just clean install OS in to another SSD and see how the PC react.

Update- I disconnect my HDD, GPU etc. I use the PSU jump method. I can turn it on but after few seconds it will turn off. Means PSU up lorry?
