Hi. Can anyone advice on the claiming

I went to A&E at 2am and was discharged at 8am as an outpatient

On the very same evening, I readmitted to A&E at 7pm and was warded till 8am the next morning under inpatient under b2 class

1) Company insurance covers up to 12k with copay of 10% for ward stay

2) personal insurance covers private + full rider

Should I claim from personal insurance or company? And does anyone know if readmission to A&E within 24hrs is seperate charge?

Personal insurance should be better, you will even get cash back for going to a lower class ward.

However if you are on PruExtra Premier you will lose your NCD so it would depend....

I don't think that happens unless is a private hospital claim.

There's two parts to the PruExtra Premier NCD: Premium Level and Pruwell reward. A public hospital claim doesn't affect Premium Level, but it will affect Pruwell Reward

Anyone knows if readmission into A&E within 24hr is seperate charge? Becos the business office couldn't give me a definite answer.

Becos my company benefit only covers inpatient and the inpatient status is tagged to the 7pm readmission A&E charge.

Is the 2am considered pre-hospitalisation if I claim from personal insurance

If it’s for the same medical condition, yes.

....By why fret about this? Just submit the claim to both insurers, and inform both insurers about the other. They’ll then coordinate.

That’s the hospital, that’s all. You can subsequently submit the claim to the other insurer also, and in my view you should. Or you can even pay cash to the hospital (to grab a credit card rebate for example — a little “trick” there) then submit the claim to both. As long as you notify each insurance company about the other so that they can coordinate, that’s fine.
