Nope, unless u live in US. U will eventually run into warranty issue should any of the parts have any problem.

You got Balls man

Hopefully there is no DOA or warranty issues in future.

Honest opinion, since Lazada having all those Promo, it's better to buy locally.

But with the amount saved, I believe it can cover the cost of shipping back the part for warranty?

Hello everyone, is it advisable to build a full system buying parts from Amazon only?
1. No warranty coverage (unless comes with international warranty)
2. Bulky > High shipping volume and charges
3. PSU plug and input voltage not compatible, i.e. 230V locally vs 110V in the US, and hence requires to get UK mains 3 pin plug and switch the voltage to 230V > unnecessary extra cost
4. Requirement to declare GST > Less apparent savings

3. I thought most (if not all) reputable PSU makers accept universal voltage input?

4. Agree. Why pay GST for overseas items when you can buy from a shop without GST :s13:

2. I thought Amazon offers free shipping if your oder is above $125
4. I don't think need to pay GST since my order will be less than $400

2. Confirm all your parts ships directly to SG? Forwarder no need charge?

3. That's why i mention needing to buy another UK 3 pin plug and also manual switch voltage to 230V.

4. What can you get under $400 as a whole?

Ondooy....where do you stay? That x99a cannot be shipped to sg.

Very rare to find motherboards and Intel processors that can ship to sg. Amd got better chance.

ship to forwarder....

I see. Is it cheaper? Cuz i compared with a msi x99s + 5820k, it cost around $598usd. Which is around $793 after cc charges. That is excluding shipping costs. The combo is $874sgd in local store.

I bought my parts from amazon also. Not all of it. You need to do your research. If the cost at the end is the same, its better to get locally. RAM prices are about the same. The only parts worth getting i see is SSDs, and GPUs.

I bought my GPU, and heatsink and ram from amazon, the rest of parts from SG. GPU was EVGA gtx780 SC. Warrenty international, so send back is to taiwan, not too bad if got issue. In the end the thing is, if your parts got no problem, you win. If need to send back for repairs, then it depends.

But dont have to worry about DOA or defects as amazon's customer service is top notch. They'll cover the costs and stuff. I even heard of amazon waiving a shipping charge for someone's TV before because the customer asked. lol!

So in the end, to make your decision, check and see if the parts you get locally vs amazon, is the savings about $150? if not dont bother.

Oh ya, $400 sgd and above got additional 7% singapore gst

Mobos dont ship directly to sg, thats why savings not as big because u go thru concierge service. Unless they start shipping to SG directly, I would get my mobo+cpu from SG cuz got bundle price. Again, do your own research. Theres alot of checking, double checking and recalculations from shipping, tax, etc
