You have been stating that the 7950 performs worse then the gtx 760 at the same price but no source have been shared.. At least i show some states anyway comparison with stock AMD reference card.

AMD Radeon HD 7950 w/ Boost Versus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 - Battlefield 3 - Legit Reviews

And looking MORE CLOSELY this time. The gtx are OC and just having less then 10 FPS
difference?

If looking at prices on amazon , the GTX is of course more worth it... Unless 1 can acquire the
windforce 760 for $409 locally. The 7950 powercolour is more bang for buck?

At 1080p it is clearly ahead of both the stock and boost versions of the 7950, by 13% and 8% respectively. This is by no means a commanding lead and AMD still offers better performance in some cases, but on average the GTX 760 is faster, quieter, and $30-$50 cheaper than AMD’s closest competitor.

Amd cheaper here though..

In my own humble 2 cents opinion, AMD Radeon for graphics/video editing.. Nvidia for gaming.. :o

...cheaper by only $10...

Powercolor 7950 PCS+ Boost selling at $399.
Gigabyte GTX 760 selling at $409.

To say the least AMD's 8950 and 8970 looming over the horizon, ready to take over the 7900 series come end of this year or start of next year.

I would say grab the Gigabyte GTX 760 for its performance at this price point. Or if you want to go cheap, then pay a bit more for the Powercolor 7970 instead. 7950 is not worth the money spent on it, especially now it is sandwiched between the 760 (top) and 7870 LE (bottom).

Prices taken from PCThemes.

actually the decision to choose which card depends on which games u play. Also for me personally the noise / power consumption is critical...no point having the most powerful and fastest gfx card that requires 100% fan speed to be cool...that will make my system sound like a jet engine.

im currently using a 2nd hand 7970 and have a GTX 760 coming next week from amazon. Most likely ill sell off the 7970 cos although performance is better, the heat and noise is too much for my mini-itx system to bear.

The other way round bro. AMD lacks the PhsyX and CUDA technologies possessed by Nvidia cards to enable GPU acceleration during video rendering, esp in Autodesk programs.

AMD still remain better for gaming due to cheaper cost for cards. Nvidia is for those who really need CUDA.

And the Asus is $429 I think I will have my first Asus product soon. See what's the hype about them haha

i think the biggest difference between the 2 might just be the noise from the fans. difference in performance is negligible.
