advise for gpu upgrade

thinking of changing my gpu to a gtx 970, currently looking at Palit GTX970 Jetstream.

my current rig is:
i5-2400
samsung 23" FHD monitor
current gpu is sapphire HD7870 2gb OC
8gb ram
win 7 home premium
seasonic 550w

looking to play gta v, witcher 3 and the upcoming FO4 with at least high settings. ok to go for gtx970?

Wait for fury to be released, then see if ur budget allows for it. Otherwise, may consider 390x. Witcher 3 is a demanding game.

my budget is below $600. actually also looking at the gigabyte gtx970 for mini atx since it's much smaller as my casing allowable space for gpu card length is less than 263mm.
