Advise for new rig

Going to build a new rig that's mainly for gaming. My current rig is on the right and i know it is very much capable of playing most AAA titles but i would just like to get a new "toy" for myself so i will only be replacing my CPU, MOBO, RAM, Casing and PSU.

i have read through a few threads and came up with these selection:

i5-6500 + MSI B150 Gaming M3
Avexir 2x8gb ddr4 (Red Led)
Fractal Design R5 White with window
Super Flower 550w Silver Full Modular

This will be more of an aesthetic build so im going for white/red theme which is why i choose the mobo and the axexir ram.

Are my selection okay? Do i need a cooler even though im not overclocking? Can recommend what fan to get if i want white led light to shine in my casing?

Budget is $1000 including OS, can add $100 for additional fans or cooler etc.

Looks fine to me, this would be pretty good already, if really want bling one or two Bitfenix spectre would be fine, though I would look at Led strips for bling instead

Bitfenix looks great! Hope pc theme has it cuz will be getting cpu + mobo from them. Speaking of that, if im only getting cpu+mobo, will pc theme sell at the price that they indicate in thier pricelist?

Im fully aware that i wont see much performance gain la. Nowadays, people change phone faster then i change rig lo and without much improvement also

If im selling, ill be selling the whole rig ba minus the gtx 970 and SSD which i will be reusing but comes with msi 560ti, dunno still got value anot
