I think only 逢甲夜市 and 一中街 is good for shopping, there's more sightseeing attractions in Taichung I guess?

Since you're at Taichung, it's worth to stay a night at Cing Jing (清境) and go for the sunrise tour before heading to Taipei (note: will be quite tiring). There's also lavender farm, carton king, gaomei wetland, etc.. for sightseeing.

Refer to http://www.rtaiwanr.com/taichung-city for the attractions. Tunghai NM is quite a distance from Fengjia area. Imo, nothing much there but you can visit luce chapel before that. Can reach there via BRT if you want to try their public transport.

Will reach taoyuan airport at around 11am

Not sure how you plan to get to Taichung. Personally, I will take the uBus from taoyuan airport straight to Taichung. The seats are comfortable and its usually under 2 hours to get there.

For beauty products, taiwanese tend to patronize their 86shop, 小三, BG Shop etc.

You should also spend a day at Cingjing when you are at Taichung. Enjoy the fresh air over there and if you are feeling scenic, try your luck at catching the sunrise with arrangements from your minsu. Don't forget the 伊拿谷手扒雞 and fresh 高丽菜。

I usually stay in hotels that are within Fengjia Night Market and I would recommend eating 惡魔雞排-逢甲歡樂星. Even now as I'm typing, I'm salivating :s13::s13:. Oh and if you don't like crowd, avoid going FengJia Night Market on fridays and saturdays between 8-9ish pm.

Shopping wise, it varies. If you are looking for brands, you can try 中友百货,新光三越,大远白. They have promotions every now and then.

Another recommendation for transport within Taichung would be to take their BRT or public bus. It's free for the first 10km within the single trip. Uber is cheaper than Taxis and its quite easy to book them too.

ONE MORE! Seems like it is more economical to change money at the airport but it depends. Since you reach at 11am, they should be opened. There are two banks that offer currency exchange at airport.

Megabank - Most of the time offer higher rates. There's one located at the area where you collect luggage when you reach taoyuan airport. 30NTD admin charges
Bank of Taiwan - More branches than Megabank. Should be 30NTD admin charges too

No need bro you can purchase over the counter. If you have a kid they will be paying 半票,for adults is 全票。 The interval is 15-30mins. I can't recall. It's fast. and I confirm you be sleeping. hahaha
