Hmm more cores do not equate to faster speed.
Eg 1. Blablabla Dual Core Processor @3.5Ghz
1st Core: 3.50Ghz
2nd Core: 3.50Ghz
Eg 2. Yayaya Quad Core Processor @3.50Ghz
1st Core: 3.50Ghz
2nd Core: 3.50Ghz
3rd Core: 3.40Ghz
4th Core: 3.30Ghz
Apparently when you open up and use most of applications and some of the games in the market as of now, it will not utilise all the 4 cores. As such, there is NO difference btw 1 and 2 since their base clock is the same. However, if you are doing video rendering which requires multithreading (needing more cores to work), eg 1 would stutter as it has a limited number of cores required. Lesser cores can be good (pricing and high base clock) or bad (if you run multithreaded applications). A quad core with a lower base clock is still SLOWER than a dual core with a higher base clock in applications that do not require multithreading.
