Advise needed on Chiayi

Hi, would need some advise on where to go in Chiayi area. Have booked a room for 3 days 2 nights in a minsu 瑞里印象區民宿.

Original objective was to visit at least Fencihu station and also Giant Trees Trail. I have been searching around the web but can't really come to the conclusion if it's possible or not base on the location that I'm staying at. Please advise me !!! Thank you very much

Was more keen to slowly take my time around taking public transport. Not possible? If not, then really have to book.

But really take up alot of time..Set off earlier..

By bus up to Fenchihu is about 1hr odd..From Fenchihu by bus up to Alishan Main Area is about another 1hr odd..

From the main area train to shen-mu is about 10-15mins..

Latest update 2:30-40mins priced at 221nt. If private cab is 200-300nt pax.
Diff is bus guarantee u reached. Cab is same but just afraid they 1/2way chut stunt n say whatever reason n need up your price. My friend paid 300 nt pax by cab.

What time estimated to reach Chiayi??

I suggest head straight to the minsu..If heng can check in early, if not can deposit luggage and check with owner on the recommended places or get a driver to head out..

Get all your drinks/snacks at HSR station. Coz some minsus are out of place and quite isolated. So better to have something to munch in the mid of the night.

Yes. The min Su that I'm staying is isolated indeed. My eta to Tao yuan is 5.30am. That raylee impress min Su can be seen using Google street view. Nothing much nearby. Like village

Updates: roads leading up to the minsu is destroyed. No public transport up. need to take private transport up or cab.

There is pickup but still must pay as it's quite far. Minsu owner hired a driver for us for to and fro at the cost of 1200NTD each way. Now I'm otw to cing jing. Taking tra to tai Chung first. . Just to clarify, intially wanted to take public bus up but min su suggested to take hired driver instead.
