I'm gonna go down to SLS this coming weekends to get my new rig , so i need more advise for some of the things... If any of these items can get it at cheaper price from other shop , please let me know .

CPU & MOBO: i5-3470 & Asrock B75 Pro 3M @ $330 ( Best Buy)
Ram: G.Skill RIP JAWS 8GB KIT 1600MHz @ $90 ( Best Buy )
SSD : SAMSUNG 840 PRO 256GB SATA 3 @ $330 ( Best Buy )
HDD : WD 2TB 64MB GREEN SATA 3 5400RPM @ $122 ( Best Buy )
ODD : SAMSUNG 24X OEM @ $ 21 ( Best Buy )
OS : MICROSOFT WIN‐7 HOME PREMIUM @ $ 114 ( Best Buy )
PSU : FSP PLATINUM 550W @ $ 139 ( PCTHEMES )
GPU : MSI 7970 POWER EDITION @ ( NEED ADVISE )
CASE : NZXT PHANTOM 410 @ $155 ( PCTHEMES )

Ram: Kingston 1600MHz value ram @ $72
Don't really need a ram kit unless you intend to oc your ram or you have color theme to match.
SSD : Plextor M5P 256GB @ $265
Based on Best Buy pricing but you can ask Tradepac to price match.
HDD : Hitachi Deskstar 2TB 7200RPM @ $116
Faster drive than WD Green, costs about the same as WD Green and same warranty period.
ODD : SAMSUNG 24X OEM @ $ 22
OS : MICROSOFT WIN‐7 HOME PREMIUM @ $110
PSU : FSP PLATINUM 550W @ $ 125*
GPU : MSI 7970 POWER EDITION @ $569*
Might be OOS as this gpu only comes with limited stocks. Next cheaper option is Powercolor 7970 V3 @ $496.
CASE : NZXT PHANTOM 410 @ $155

Total: $1768
Buy from Tradepac. Those with * are bundle prices.

Not advisable to buy during the weekends as it will be very crowded, assembly time can be very long and might not have room for bargaining as well as shops will be busy entertaining other customers.

You could save more bucks without sacrificing performance by going for another ram, ssd and power supply. Gskill rip jaws only if you are overclocking and 128GB SSD is the most ideal size for an all rounder purpose gaming rig. You could always store other things in hard disk. FSP raider 550W is more value for money and is capable of supporting 7970 with minimum recommended power of 500W with full load maxing out at 355W at about 30A. The raider goes up to 504W at 42A single rail. SSD-229 Ram-7x PSU-78

It takes time for assembly and may include labour cost. If you are keen and confident to take your chance to do it yourself and assuming you had the time it is not only fun but it allows you to gain exposure and knowledge and understands how the 7 to 8 components work together. Furthermore the mainboard and processing unit these days are pretty easy to mount as compared to LGA 775 days.

If you want the cheapest, Tradepac is the best option. If not, you can try Best Buy or PC Themes. PC Themes prices are much higher compared to TP. But you can look for yilong (a tall, big size chinese guy) and ask him to give you a good quote and ask if he can price match to TP price.

Actually almost all of their cost are similar, so do some homework and get whatever shop to match the lowest price for that component in sls lor, plus pay in cash to enjoy cash discount.

Because paying by nets or credit card, shops need to absorb transactions fee.
