Advise Needed

Hi, I had my system for abt 5 years and am considering upgrading my system.

Need advises on whether to upgrade my graphic card to 1660 or should i get a new rig.

Need the system for gaming (mount and blade 2 bannerlord), and some photo editing.

You can upgrade the GPU and switch to an SSD for the OS. These will boost your system performance considerably.

Switch to SSD, additional ram and new GPU if you want to maintain your current rig.

I am using a close setup to yours and currently building a new rig. I will be letting go my old rig around the end of the month. Let me know if you want anything.

If you want to go for the cheapest option with a reasonable performance jump, I would spend on a good GPU like a 2080 super and add an SSD as the primary boot storage. These items will be forward compatible when the time does come to upgrade motherboard, CPU & RAM.

You already have 8GB of RAM which should be enough for now. So I would NOT spend any money on RAM as newer motherboards wont support it.

Yes. all GPU is compatible w/ mobos.

Just install a ssd / 16GB ram and a 1660super ur rig is a beast again
