I'm using a Dell 660s with a stick of 4GB ram installed, and would like to upgrade to 2X4GB (8GB).

I'm looking at Convergent offerings between Kingston and Crucial ram.

#Crucial DDR3 1600Mhz (4GB@$47)x2=$94
OR
#Kingston DDR3 1600Mhz (4GB@$50)x2=$100

P.S. Ram prices doubled since the last time I bought it in late 2012.

You can mix & match rams. It'll just run at the lower speed. 47 crucial 4gb 1333Mhz?

Thanks. But it is better to buy a full set (same brand) to ensure stability and compatibility right?
The current ram that comes pre-installed is a Hyundai Electronic manufactured 4GB PC3-12800 (1600Mhz) @1.5V.
