Advise on first gaming rig

Havent purchase the components yet but i will be aiming for the components listed below. Please advise as this is my first time building a desktop. Let me know if there is anything i should look out for

cpu- i5 6500
gpu -GIGABYTE gtx 1060 6gb windforce
mobo- ASUS h170 pro gaming
ram - 8gb 1 piece
psu - 500w
storage - 120gb SSD + 1TB HDD
pci network card - TP-Link TG-3468 Gigabit PCIE Adapter
software - windows 10
case -TECHWARE f3

monitor - Asus VG248QE

Seems Pk. But u can cut down on some parts to save cost. But 1st would like to know more of why u chosen the parts for your rig? Research or Recommend?

may i know which components you are referring to, to change?

the built is mainly for gaming. i play alot of games. games that i will be playing mainly will be dota2 and overwatch and csgo. The rest is witcher3, hitman, dark souls 3, battlefield 1. basically all the new titles.

chosen the parts based on self research online and reading reviews. but dont have any experience in building.

if you have a bigger budget, i would recommend:

-i5 6600

-take note your h series mobo can only support up to 2133mhz ram

-gtx 1070 zotac or palit twin fan to take advantage of your 144 hz monitor, you would be getting much more value at ~$100+ more. Don't get gigabyte gpu, their pcb design is crap.

-2-4 tb hdd, trust me you would need it, 1 tb doesnt cut it



ps: are you sure you need an ethernet card? the motherboard should come equipped with it
