MSI B85i + Intel Core i5-4440 @ 3.1GHz
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 1600MHz CL9 8GB (2 x 4GB)
MSI R9 270X Gaming 2GB + FSP Aurum S 600W
Plextor M5S 128GB
Western Digital 1TB Blue
CoolerMaster Elite 130 m-ITX
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM
Samsung 24X DVD-RW SATA

I am looking to have a mITX setup with the above specifications.

What I have in mind of the setup is (In Order)...
Reliability - Working Condition for >5 years
Stability - Compatible hardware and software. Does not give you BSOD.
Cost - 1250 based on TP and 1350 based on mynextcom

So does my setup meet the 1st two criteria?

Regarding cost, is there things that are redundant? And I am leaning towards mynextcom to purchase my stuff as they provide free DIY? Am I able to Nego the price with them as the price difference is quite significant?

Noob here. So please be patient with me.

Kum Sia.

Hard to tell if it will last for 5 years. This kind of thing is really by luck one.

The parts you picked look fine to me.

Doubt you will be able to nego with mynextcom. TP is usually the cheapest around.

you can try but recently heard MNC service not so good. can try TP or u can try Fortran, his pricing can be on par with most shop of SLS but maybe not TP.

P.S I'm not sure whether he supply ITX parts but u can try to contact him.

I recommend Fotran. Very friendly guy and surprisingly long after sales support.
I bought my first pc from him in 2011, and I can still freely approach him for remedy tips.

Else, you can try this guy

I tried contacting Fotran before, he doesn't do mITX due to high failure rate, so he pointed me to look for t258jgn too.

Care to elaborate in what sense do you mean "High Failure rate"? High % of mITX Parts are lemons? mITX system aren't stable due to cramp spacing and thus poor ventilation?

yup... most itx cases are cramp and poor ventilation. hence, parts run hotter

im running itx set up. but temps are fine and so far so good. so i dont think there will be an issue as itx setups are getting more and more popular recently

Buy ones that have good ventilation ,dust filter and easier to clean .

Like cheapo CM N200 or Silencio 352 (on a budget) or the more exp and better fractal design arc mini r2 (rec by fortran) .
Cooler Master Elite 130 casing has one the the bad airflow due to crap spaces and no dust filters. Its suicidal if you ask me.

Also change ssd to 256gb ones as they are selling ~160 only which makes more sense to buy them than 128gb .
