Advise on new rig

Hi guys, I'm getting BSoD with Video TDR Failure. Tried everything but can't fixed it so I guess my graphics card is dead, so might as well build a new rig as my current one is already 4 years old.
I will be using it for game development and 3D modelling.

My current system:
Mobo+CPU: Asrock H61M/U3S3 + i5-2400
RAM: G Skill NT PC10600/1333Mhz 4GB DDR3 x2
GPU: MSI GTX560-Ti
PSU: FSP 500W Aurum 80+ Gold
SSD: Samsung SSD EVO 840 120GB
HDD: WD 1TB Blue

I will be using back the SSD and HDD, so I need everything else and also a case. Budget $1000. Thinking of getting at PC Themes and ask them to assemble for me like I did last time. Please advise, thanks!

Just upgrade GPU and SSD will do.

Do the programmes u run benefit more from cpu, gpu or alot of ram? $1000 not alot to build a 3d modelling pc.
