Advise on which MB to get

Currently I have come down with 2 choices.

1) ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Exteme/Assembly
2) Gigabyte Z170X Gaming G1

any advise will be nice

Purpose? What is the board used for?

And the need for super high end board is not gonna give you any performance value to it.

Since you've already narrowed down your choices, I would like to assume your budget allows for it. Go with ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Extreme as your choice then.

ya, i have the budget for it
as gigabyte board have Killer DoubleShot Pro™ X3 and Maximus VIII Extreme/Assembly come with the ROG 10G Express add-on

mainly is for overclocking and both offline and online gaming
