CPU was built around 2 years ago. Feel like reformatting. Last time installed qvod and xigua players, after i deleted qvod it will still run some process on background. Got kana the hao123 crap also. At times when I install new game, it will pop up some registry problem something like microsoft/version/run thingy. Occasionally while gaming halfway my PC will become laggy for a moment, I go desktop see and it says something like Windows has switched to basic theme. Some issue with the aero theme i think.
I think my PC still can last for a bit. Got a few question need some advise.

1) If I were to purchase SSD, any recommendation? Looking at 256gb or 512gb for installing games. Should reinstall OS back to the same intel ssd right?

2) If I were to purchase another 8gb ram, should get another 2x4gb or 1x8gb / same brand? The key to lookout for in ram is the latency timing or speed ah? Will appreciate if there is recommedation of ram / link of it.

3) Anything else I need to lookout for?

PS: I think after reformat, not going to OC already. Btw when I connect my iphone and ipad to the 5ghz band on wifi, sometimes it will seems *stuck* after some usage, like unable to load stuffs. Reconnecting the wifi or switched to 2.4ghz band can resolve the issue. But is there any real solution ?

Your software problem. Reformat will solve most of the problem.

Purchasing a new SSD or extra 8gb won't solve the problem at all.

True. Maybe I should just reinstall my OS on the old intel ssd, and buy a new ssd for games and programs / browser.
Don't know should upgrade ram or not though.

Does mixing different ram brand matters ? Just need to be same speed and latency right?

If I'm using 2x4gb now , should get another 2x4gb instead of 1x8gb ?
