[Advise] PC Upgrade

Hi guys, am actually looking to upgrade right now from my very 1st PC build.

Probably going to swap out my motherboard and CPU for Ryzen 7. Saw a decent deal, where the Ryzen 7 1700x is same price as the Ryzen 7 1700.

So was thinking of getting the 1700x and spend $50 on a cooler instead. Also may want to swap in a Vega 56 if got spare budget. 1080 is out of budget so it seems to be either 1070ti vs Vega 56, but Vega 56 more wallet friendly

A couple of questions,
1) Motherboard
Which motherboard to go for? Ideally budget less than $200. Im not too big of an OC-er.

2) Cooler models
Am contemplating between the Arctic freezer or CM 212x. Any advice? I dont actually have experience with after market coolers.

3) RAM
Do I need to get new ram with the new motherboard?

Yea you need new ram for new rig ddr4. As for cooler try cryorig h7. Very nice. I got 1 on my comp2

Well mostly I don't play that many games now, except for Black Desert Online and the occasional Overwatch.

For Black Desert, my CPU usage always hovers between 70% - 80% and when in world events, goes to maximum usage.

Quite hard to multitask when it runs, so was thinking to swap out a CPU.

If your PC is mainly for gaming, i'd say don't bother with AMD Ryzen upgrade since CPU performance upgrade is minimal. Ryzen CPUs are only as fast as Intel Broadwell ones, i.e. 3-5% faster clock for clock. And RAMs just had a price hike recently to over $100+ for a value 8GB DDR4-2133 RAM stick. You'll need new DDR4 RAM for any CPU platform upgrade.

Just hoot a new GPU will do. I'd go with a GTX 1080 since it is priced so closely to GTX 1070 and Ti. And can forget about Vegas cos they are really power hungry. It may be more wallet friendly upfront but damage will creep in fast down the years.

And hence, that pushed me to decide to upgrade my CPU because my FPS gets crazily low or game hangs especially in large scale world events or heavily populated areas.

Never thought it would be a GPU issue. Or should I try OC-ing my 4460? I've little experience in OC-ing but can try just to see.

Usually my PC is to game and do work. But my work usually isn't render intensive, more proposals and Adobe CC for design work.

To be frank, this depends entirely on the game and how well it handles multi-thread.
