Hi guys

Currently am running on a mitx rig and casing.

- asrock h110m-itx
- Intel g4560
- 8gb DDR4 ram
- 1tb hdd
- mini case + power brick as psu

Was thinking of changing to i7 so as to play the latest pubg game coz it lags on my older desktop. Already owned a gtx1060 on the other pc and keen to put it here as dedicated GPU. Since the case is too small and may not have much juice, was also thinking of changing to another case + Psu.

Appreciate if can recommend
- which i7
- casing + Psu (no need so high wattage)

The other parts should be alright. Budget wise, possible not to exceed say $500? Not entirely sure the current market price for i7

Hi physistry,

PUBG is not a very well optimized game, so it won't run very well even if you have an i7 and GTX 1060.

I have suggested either an i5-7600 or i7-7700 as they will soon be replaced by the new Coffee Lake CPUs by fall (Sept/Oct) this year. Coffee Lake CPUs will most likely require a new motherboard.

Prices before discounts are stated as below. Shop names are in brackets. I have included the links to the parts sold in Qoo10 & Lazada. Please update your Asrock H110m-ITX motherboard to the latest BIOS before installing the new CPU.

Option 1:

CPU: Intel i5-7600 @ $326 (PC Themes)
Casing: Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini-ITX Computer Case @ $88.80 (Lazada) **
Power Supply: EVGA Power Supply 80+ Bronze 500W @ $78 (Lazada) **

Option 2:

CPU: Intel i7-7700 @ $489 (Qoo10)*
Casing: Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini-ITX Computer Case @ $99 (Qoo10)*
Power Supply: EVGA Power Supply 80+ Bronze 500W @ $95.50 (Qoo10)*

Total Cost (Option 1): $492.80
Total Cost (Option 2): $583.50 (After applying Qoo10 $100 off cart coupon with min. $600 purchase)

* Take note that the $100 off cart coupon with min. $600 purchase is valid until 27th Aug. For more discounts, you can also buy $100 Qoo10 gift cards (each at 3% off) and use Qpoints. I know that the same parts are slightly more expensive in Qoo10, but overall it is cheaper if you combo with the $100 off cart coupon, gift cards and Qpoints.

** For further discounts on Lazada, you can use their Citibank credit card promo code "OFFICIALCITI" for 8% off capped at $20, LiveUp (5% rebate) and Shopback.

Details on LiveUp and Shopback:

i put everything very low and did the recommended set up from various sites. barely playable. im guessing cpu bottleneck coz i changed my gfx from 560 to 1060 (a bit of improvement but not enough).

Thanks for the update on the specs. Will certainly look into it this weekend to compare with the budget i have.

Follow this, ignore advanced settings and view distance set to low, when looking far away, game won't render grass and some other stuff, can see enemies better:s13::s13:

Follow this to improve visuals and colors, ignore the parts where it says potential plugins u may wanna try(vibrance, lumasharpen and clarity)

I did try to follow some of the steps but barely playable. So im guessing a change in CPU may help though. :s22:
