all buses towards Ulu Tiram or Kota Tinggi will pass by Jusco Tebrau, not just 227
BET6 strongly recommended of cos :D

for return trip i always cross the bridge and wait at the bus stop along Jln Tebrau.
Very dangerous bus stop with high frequency of pick pockets

Yes, been warned here before I started out. So whenever I am alone, I usually won't sit down on the cement bench. Look around as if I am suspecting anybody... keep staring, looking at things, kind of practice whenever I am there. However, after sometime, I also slacken down till my colleague got picked. Forgot to remind him about this kind of thing but too bad... complacency sift into the brain.

if not taking cab back to sentral, whats the latest time u all usually depart from AEON tebrau if u r alone?

be it the BET2 & 227 / BET6 bus stops...bcos i get the impression that both returning bus stops are not safe after sunset?

i will usually target to reach JB sentral by 3pm to avoid long queue @ JB CIQ. i think Tebrau>Sentral takes about 30mins depending on traffic

for my last trip, i took BET6 back at around 12:20pm. bus frequency should be every 30mins. so you should be able to workout approx what time you need to waiting for BET6

don't feel that it's not safe, just take usual precaution (even in the day) like you travel oversea

didn't like the interior condition of Maju bus 227, mouldy ceiling, weak aircon, dirty seats etc. will stick to BET6 next time
Most time, I am on 227, reached Sentral around 10.10am. Anyway, there seems to be always 227 bus waiting at the bus bay whenever I am there. So no worry of not getting onto any bus. As someone has mentioned, there are many other buses going that way, but 227 becomes the usual bus during my time of arrival.

kosong x2 + kopi-o = rm3.40, i think not expensive lah
tasted ok just don't like that it's not even warm. kopi-o very watered down. but i didn't have breakfast, so when hungry, no fish prawn also good lah :D agree i had better roti canai elsewhere

btw, what's the price for JB sentral>sentosa & sentosa>Tebrau?
i think useful for planning, like getting the coins ready

By the way, the canai at Sentral not really nice. !st time tried, was good, 2ne and 3Rd time, not nice. Why? after cooking, the spare pieces are keep in the container. Canai belongs soft. Thanks!
My last trip 2 weeks back, I had canai at the bus stop I alighted for Sentosa. 6 pieces, 2 teh-tarik and 1 100plus = RM10.5 (or 10.8? can't recall) Much cheaper than Sentral I think. At least, they prepared it on demand. Not cook before hand. My colleagues were so happy with the food.

bus fare from Sentral to Sentosa is RM1.3, cheaper than going to KSL.
From Sentosa to Tebrau, not sure have to ask driver.
From Sentral to Tebrau is Rm2.4 or RM2.5 depending on which bus you take.

Like I said before, hit back to Sentral around 3pm or 3.30pm latest. Occasiaonlly, around 4pm. Just to avoid jam at causeway. However, with the recent change in Custom clearance at CIQ, if causeway jam means jiala liao because the jam usually pile up before CIQ due to clearance by MY officer, which is what SG side is doing right now.

Weekday is hardly an issue even if slightly late. only problem for me is be getting back home from Woodland interchange. I take bus 168, far too many RP students at that time. Ever tried queue for 2nd or even 3rd bus before able to board (reached interchange just before 4.30pm)

By the way, on way back, I hardly seen 227 at all. most time, kana all the worse condition buses (occasionally better ones)

the shopping bus, depending what time you are going in, I tried for sometime until I gave up. I used to take this bus to Denga City Mall on weekdays morning. However, it seems like there is only 1 bus make the round trip. If you miss the bus, its going to be almost 1 hr wait. Perhaps the only except I find is later afternoon on Monday due to pasam malam at KSL, I hardly see 2 buses come and go all the this while.

I am not fussy about buses, I understand your concern as I had also commented about it too. However, for short distance, I hardly sit down. a short journey you should reach in no time. So I hardly bother, perhaps stand on my way there?

For me, time is precious as I try to maximize my time spending on my intended shopping agenda or visit more places hunting for stuff.

It doesn't make any different to me now as I don't mind walking in from the main road, about 5min walk. Definitely less than 10min. Which ever comes 1st. Likely wise, especially during Monday evening on way back after pasam malam when there is heavy human flow taking IM17 or S1 bus back. Just walk out to main road and take any buses, in fact most buses to Sentral

buses in jb are poorly maintained and look more like those buses in vietnam.

buses in penang and kl are better. they use scania buses like those used by sbs.

vietnam buses may be old & dusty but at least they aren't sooty & moldy like some of JB buses. in fact i just sat on JB bus with huge spider web like cracks on glass windows recently :s22:

IMO, worth a visit if you've never been there.

My typical visit starts with Tesco's building. First the foodcourt where I'll order the Indian Rojak Mee - yellow noodles topped with Indian rojak + sauce - something I only find (so far) in Tesco foodcourts. Then off to Mr DIY and Tesco, before crossing over to Aeon Tebrau which is bigger than Bukit Indah's.
