A guy asked me about his son's prospect of being an undergrad in Aeronautical Engineering.
He said his concern was triggered by Warren Buffett unloading all his Airline holdings even at a tremendous loss. A sign that the airline industry has no future in the short to medium term.

The aviation industry in SG isnt big... Dun see many good prospects in it... Mostly its jus MRO companies....
Unless his Son wants to become a Licensed Aircraft Engineer(LAE), he can try applying after he finishes poly....
Trust me, coming from a fresh grad with degree in aerospace, many co want you to have exp in certain areas before they hire u...
I have friends who grad years before this covid-19 crisis in this degree, couldnt find jobs in the aviation industry... In the end they moved to other industries like banking, transportation etc.... Even those with relevant exp n skills in it find it hard to get promotion...
Right nw with this Covid-19 crisis, getting job in aviation industry would b even tougher....
I'd rather he study something else like Computer Sci or data analytics/data sci.... Or even mechanical engineering....
A degree that allows him to work in most industries... Tell his son dun limit himself to a certain industry...
