from the makers of adobe illustrator alternative, affinity designer. no subscription for sure. free beta now. affinity photo no pricing yet. based on affinity designer's 50 usd price, it shldn't be far off. currently me using pixelmator. but toying ard with the beta affinity photo for an hour, me like it more dan pixelmator liao. try out the beta. er... pro photoshop users, maybe u wanna jump ship too.

pretty much most image file formats.

oh, cannot open .pxm which is pixelmator format. me hv to export as psd from pixelmator and open from affinity photo. cannot save as psd, me think. when me saved, it saved as .afphoto format. but like pixemator, can export back to psd. a bit of a hassle for photoshop users. me no use photoshop, so it's okay.

granny charge rental. need internet for license.

Granny got full creative suite for $26 per month. Unless u are a loner, can always use your sibling or child or grandchild's school email to subscribe. This is a time tested software like autocad and microsoft office that will never be superseded for the forseeable future.

Its good to support a mac photoshop or illustrator alternative, but pros will only use adobe.

and rental is not for me.

now dat affinity photo can save in psd, can upgrade to photoshop if needed. choices r always good.
