its an okay deal. u missed the deal for a 7600x + 7900xt for the same price last week, which is far better as u are getting around 40% more gpu performance. theres still another build with the 3080ti, which may be better if u dont need dlss3 as it is about 20% faster than the 4070.

id rather go for their 6700xt deal, $150 saving @ $985 but with comparable raster performance up to and including 1440p and also 50% more vram, which will allow it to age a lot better than the 3070 especially at higher resolutions.

DLSS is a godsend if your GPU is not the fastest but yet want fast fps... as a casual gamer definitely i cannot see the diff.

Actually no. The RTX4070 will be faster than the RTX3080ti in most games at 2K. At 4K, it's really neck to neck. But against the RTX3080Ti, the RTX4070 is actually the better choice.

not sure where u got that info, 3080ti is most definitely faster, though like u mentioned it does stretch its legs at higher resolutions (going from a 6% advantage at 1080p to almost 20% at 4k). imo if theyre both the same price, the 3080ti is the better deal despite the much higher power consumption.

The asking price range in Carousell are quite similar for the rtx 3070 and rx 6700xt,
with the lowest being $330 for the rtx 3070 & $300 for the 6700xt.

Looks like the experienced gamers are valuing the 2 cards about the same .... weighing the advt and disadvt of each card against the other.

While perhaps the target market for aftershock are those who are less into comparing the GPU specs, and are more willing to pay a premium ($150) for the Nvidia name.

Ah, just saw the post above mine with the table of new and used prices.

Guess its just that the brand new price is higher for the rtx 3070 compared to the 6700xt.
Not that aftershock is trying to make more profits on the rtx 3070.

When compare 4070 and 3080Ti at the same price, i will just go for the 4070. It's newer, consume lesser power. Plus if you want to rma, higher chance they have 4070 in stock than 3080Ti.
