Aftershock - 15 or 17 inch?

Was considering upgrading my wife's aged laptop and chanced upon Aftershock options.

Playing around with it, came up with this configuration:

i7-4700MQ
GeForce 765M GTX 2GB DDR5
16GB DDR3
Western Digital Scorpio Black 750GB
Intel Wireless N 6235
8x DVD R/RW
Windows 7 Home Premium

Main difference in choice would be:
- 17.3" Full HD Premium Glossy 90% NTSC
- 15.6" Full HD Premium Matte 95% NTSC

Price difference of $244.00 between the 2 monitors.

Gonna use it mainly for light gaming (i.e. nothing demanding) and some photoshop work.

Thoughts?

If you've been following my thread, on the purchase, things that i would consider :

- Can re-use my existing hard drives, theres a total of 2, which i would still prefer to have the DVD reader


- The extra size would matter, i assume, for the cooling parts [ need Aftershock to verify[


- Do you ALWAYS have to carry it around? For me is a non-issue other than suitable bag

- lastly, do you like to watch/ read on the screen? Some times, imho, larger screen does have its benefits

for light gaming, getting the thinner series seems like better idea, or MSI GS70 as its more sleek and lighter [ but cost of performance ]

Not the greatest fan of glossy screens... they can be quite a pain to look at from an angle esp outdoors.

To be honest, having seen the X17 matt 72% gamut panels, I am having trouble getting used to lesser TN panels. If you prefer good colors for your Photoshop, then you should go for the 15.6 inch models with the 95% gamut panels. Colors looks astonishing on it.

Yeah, I'm using a 23" Dell IPS on the PC and i know the quality difference, which is why the screen choice for the laptop
