So I need a laptop for Uni and I also plan on using it for gaming in my spare time. Since most half decent regular laptops are around $1100 I thought, why not spend an extra $300 and get one with a dedicated GPU. i7-9750h with GTX1650 4GB. Basically the base specs. I’d like to know if this laptop is portable, and how Long its battery would last(in general if not using it for gaming). And for all you gamers, is this laptop good enough to run games like apex/Fortnite at a stable 100fps on all Low settings.

Typing this on an Apex-15 Lite.
Firstly, $1400 will get you the laptop with no OS, so u need to throw in another $150 or so.
The laptop is indeed under 2kg, highly portable weight-wise. However the battery is ****. Taking minutes at work running word and outlook only will only last 2 hours. You cannot be away from a power point.

Mine is the 1660ti variant, able to run Witcher 3 at ultra 144hz 60fps steady. Dont think Fortnite is a concern.

6,925 (99.7%) of 6,949 games
Recommended Requirements:
3,999 (94.9%) of 4,214 games

I will suggest that you get the GTX1660ti upgrade, which is about 30% (ouch!) improvement over GTX1650. Drop the OS and buy it externally that will save you $110 for other upgrades. In this case my recommendation will be dual channel ddr4 to 16GB ram.

Running UHD630 will get you at most 3-4hrs on time (minus video if possible).

The upgrade comes with a very neat minimalist design.

Hi, Can I check if it's correct that this is when the laptop is plugged in. When running on battery, my FPS for even simpler games like Civ 6 drops to like 10-20 on Medium settings. Is that normal for a gaming laptop on battery vs when plugged in ? Thanks !
