Aftershock Forge 15S or equivalent?

Am thinking of getting an Aftershock Forge 15S, seems to be an OK gaming laptop specs wise, for < $2,000. My only concern is fan noise and aftersales service. However the general consensus of Aftershock seems to be poor customer service in case your laptop dies, would like to know some of the opinions here. Would also appreciate any laptop suggestion of equivalent-specs.

I don't know how sensitive you are to fan noise, but no matter which gaming laptop you get, you need to be mindful that the fan is going to be really loud when the system is under load. The smaller the fan, the more annoying it sounds due to higher pitch noise the fans emit.

As for after sales service, my recommendation is to just take people's feedback with a pinch of salt. There will always be both positive and negative feedbacks regardless of brand. For example, some says Lenovo onsite service is good, while there will also be people that will claim otherwise. It really depends on (1) person providing the after sales service, and also, (2) how high a standard an individual expects when it comes to service quality.

My advice is you pay for what you get, when it comes to those OEM rebrands. You should understand what I am trying to say already.

Lenovo Legion 5 2021 AMD With RTX 3060 graphic card from lenovo website currently selling at $1615 with BESTTECH code, can try get more discount from live chat cs.
Agreed, and try to search Lenovo Legion 5 pro.

Lenovo support after sales also responsive, I had a good experience with their support.

Legion 5 is the nearest to your price point.

I would pick that over Aftershock. Other already said, what you pay is what you get. The problem is there is no reviews online of their laptops. So no one knows the good and the bad about it.

Bringing this old thread back because don't want to create another to flood.

Apart from Legion 5 is there another other closest to the same price point? The link above is still sold out.

I bought Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3060 during 5.5 sale

$1520 after the coupon from acer official shopee, was a flash 1hr sale (but saw it "flash" twice during the day). Bought another 8gb ram from crucial shopee about $48~50

Alot people say Acer Nitro build not that good screen/speaker/keyboard/battery

But the 144hz screen & RGB keyboard to me is quite alright, speaker on the lousier side but I'm using a xiaomi bluetooth speaker since can just blast without worry. Battery never really tested much since it's plugged in always
