Aftershock Lunar 14/pro

Hi anybody using aftershock lunar 14 or lunar 14 pro? Any reviews, can it compete with other office laptop brands like Hp Envy/Spectre and Dell XPS etc.?

i also didn't realize there is a lunar pro

from their website lunar pro, it claim 24 hours battery life which is very impressive for road warriors!

nah.. just get Lenovo Yoga S740. Can customize, has onsite warranty, 10nm CPU, thunderbolt and more importantly cost much lower

That's good to know. Weird - because Aftershock's specs page for this model says that both the USB ports are type A:

I have been using the Lunar 14 for a week now. It's amazingly light (about 1kg), has a crazy almost bezel-less screen which makes it very compact (slightly larger than a surface pro) and battery life is amazing. On a full charge, the estimated time on the Windows toolbar is more than 10 hours. It's still new so perhaps battery not fully conditioned yet.

Some of the downsides to be aware of is the lack of thunderbolt port, no touch screen and lack of the latest wireless technology (none were deal breakers for me). Keyboard feel for typing is average, not the worst and not the best, at least it's well spaced out and backlit. A minor annoyance is there's no power indicator light on the outside of the laptop to indicate charging - the light is inside, near the keyboard.

Performance is overall quite good and can run Adobe Lightroom with a bit of slow down during processing. However, the fan also tends to be noisy on high processing load.

A huge consideration for anyone buying it is the long waiting time. I ordered the Lunar 14 in beginning of November and was given an estimated collection date of end November. In reality, I waited until January to collect it and there was no updates from customer service on the delay. I had to call and chase them . Worst part is while waiting a better model the Lunar 14 Pro came out .

Overall still a good buy that I would recommend if you can wait.

Got Lenovo Yoga S740. Better cpu, metal build, face login at a lower price.

It is a very light weight laptop and when you pick it up there is noticeable flex on the casing. Definitely no premium feeling and plasticky but I can live with it.

Build quality is better than my previous Asus laptop which had noticeable uneven panel gaps and the aluminum casing scratched very easily.

I personally would accept no longer than 3 weeks.

I got my laptop within 1 week. But be warned, better check your screen color before returning back home from collection. I had yellow tint screen upon collection.

Any new feedback on Lunar 14 ?

I saw there's an MSI prestige 14 alternative with MX250 while Lunar 14 is integrated graphics.

The problem with the Lenovo Yoga mentioned above comes only with 8gb ram. I absolutely want a 16gb one.

Any suggestions?

yeah reviews say its s h i t because the gfx has only 1 fan and it overheats and this bottlenecks performance.

at this point the choice is between Lunar14 , which has literally 0 reviews , and Yoga S740, that on the SG website can only be bought with 8gb RAM.

anyone knows whether this can be custom added on the lenovo sg website or what other website can i use?
