Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced something similar in a group class at the gym.

During a recent session, a stranger repeatedly came into very close proximity from behind, so close I could feel his breath at the back of my head. He shouted loudly and aggressively multiple times, elbowed me from behind, and even stomped on my feet while I was doing jumping jacks. Despite shifting away, he kept approaching throughout the entire 60‑minute class.

I had to leave the studio several times to seek assistance from gym staff at the service counter. Following the incident, I filed a police report and requested that the investigation officer obtain the CCTV footage from the studio as supporting evidence in court

Has anyone else had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this kind of aggressive behavior in a gym class? How did you handle it, and what steps did your gym take afterward? How did the police assist and what are the court able to do?

I had asked AI why, possibilities are envious and insecure individuals that are unhappy about the ultra fit, ultra rich and ultra popular man that most ladies silently adore and they tried to use misinformation, drama and negative harmful actions to harm the person.

While envy or insecurity can sometimes drive people to act out, it’s important to recognize that such behavior in a gym setting is unacceptable regardless of the underlying reasons. Gyms are meant to be safe, respectful environments, and what you described crosses into harassment and physical intimidation.

Speculating about why someone might behave that way—whether jealousy, frustration, or personal issues—can help make sense of the situation, but ultimately the responsibility lies with the individual to manage their conduct appropriately. You did the right thing by escalating to gym staff and filing a police report, because that ensures accountability and helps protect others from similar experiences.

If you’re posting about this in a forum, you might frame it less around the possible motives of the aggressor and more around the impact on you and the steps you took afterward. That way, the focus stays on safety, support, and constructive advice from others who may have faced similar incidents.
