The future of Youtube is set to change with the recent introduction of Veo3.
And Google Labs has informally introduced their brand ambassador for Flow, which is Bigfoot.
But interestingly, it was Tiktok that blew up Bigfoot-related content as opposed to Youtube Shorts.
It works well for US-based content creators, not so much for Asia, since this is a high-risk high-reward endeavor and the network outreach required is that of a western-based audience that likes the Outdoor Boys.
For the past six months, I have observed that many of the content creators on Youtube (irregardless of whether it is gaming or non-gaming) have been shadow-banned, either by impressions or by advertisements. Day after day of people complaining on the subreddit, about why their impressions had suddenly dropped. Apparently, this is now clear, it is to make space for Veo3-based content, by changing how the Youtube algorithm works.
There will likely be less gaming-based content creators willing to buy games for the purpose of making Google Adsense money. Since Google controls both the video hosting and video generation platforms. So if content creators on YT cannot find sustainability in playing games for Adsense money, they will won't waste their time. Instead, they will switch to use Veo3 if they can afford it, and won't get demonetised when compared to gaming sessions where a few inappropriate words from their commentary can easily trigger an automated review and flag their content.
