AIA vs Income

What type of insurance claim?
And how is your experience?
What I don’t like from AIA because claim must via agent, this is currently for my PA insurance

AIA must claim via agent? You mean if you go to their counter, they will ignore you?

I think for CI, you need to submit claim manually, correct?
I’m not really look at the bonus or return , as insurance is for protection

If u believe insurance is for protection only, then u shld not be buying WL cos WL is not just for protection, the returns are as important cos it is like an rsp with mthly instalments (my plans)

AIA is for hospital, death and accident claim. NTUC is for hospital claim.

Both no issues. It may take awhile for certain cases because policy just incepted awhile ago, or when medical reports are requested from the hospitals, it takes sometime for them to get back.

Who says AIA must be via agent though? You can claim via anyone who knows how to do it and fill the paperwork.

Sorry to piggyback on this thread. Currently i have some insurances that i bought many years ago from AIA, but i dont want to get any more plans from them. I am looking into CI, i can buy from other companies right? Should be no problem ya? Any pros and cons? Sorry if this is a dumb straightforward question.

Why you buy hospital from 2 insurance company? Because we can only claim hospital 1 time only, right?
I am not specific call AIA for claim, but message my agent, maybe she just want to keep contact, when I ask her if I can claim directly to AIA, she said let me do it for you, and it has been more than 3 times for my family.

what is rsp?
so you mean you will get $ every months from your insurance?
I thought that is investment link insurance.

Sorry to hijack thread. Since we're comparing companies, how About Aviva? Donkey years ago my agent made me switch from NTUC to Aviva due to the "hard to claim" statement.

Not because of bad experience. I claim from AIA before no issues, it's just their price is more expensive than others. So am looking for other options.

hopefully those people who leave NTUC are those who like to claim a lot (eg: those that like to overclaim medical insurance), this means that NTUC's hard to claim reputation will result in lesser premium increases than other insurers...

so, I'll conclude in that Income claim probably more difficult than AIA, but it's not really too difficult, as long as all documents/forms are completed.
