Hello all. Thinking of getting a corsair aio cooler for moderate ocing and mainly for aesthetic reasons(led necessary).

Before I proceed, are there any other brands i shd consider? I see most of the peeps here are using corsair though. Is it so popular because it offers the best cooling capacity?

Of the corsair variants, is the h100i a noise issue? Understand it is running 120mm fans instead of h110i's 140mm. I would like to replace them with gentle typhoons. Does the pump contribute to alot of noise as well?

Which direction shd the fans blow if i want it mount the rad at the top of casing? That will contribute to negative pressure in my casing i presume?

Is the warranty standard of 5 yrs covered by distro?

Lastly the cheapest way to get one is via lazada discounts right? I believe it works out to be slightly than t258jn's offer price.

Thanks for reading! :)

There is a difference between the h100i and h110i.

120mm are generally much noisier than a 140mm. But of cause there are 140mm fans that are equally noisier than 120mm fans.

Such as the Noctua AF14 ippc 3000rpm.

It is even louder than a gentle typhoon ap29 running the same speed but 120mm.

Anyway fan specs aside, you cant go wrong with h100i. There are plenty of fans to choose from rather than 140mm.

And 120mm is more of a static pressure type if you buy static pressure fans, as its blades apart from each other are quite close. Unlike 140mm, blades are still a big gap apart.

Air flow fans are blades that usually far apart from each other.

Nevertheless i would still recommend the h100i, as not only it is much easier to find fans to mount, with correct fans mounted it will definitely perform well.

5 years is covered by distro locally IF you buy it locally and not from overseas.

Fans contribute most of the noise, even at low fan rpms. Pump noise usually barely noticeable. (From my experience with h100i)

Corsair link software crappy; must play with registry values for my h100i led to work properly. Something to do with power savings in win 8.

Other brands to consider: Coolermaster (cheaper than Corsair if procured from sls)
Deepcool (budget oriented, but recall user feedback pump failing)
Thermaltake

Swiftech and EKWB solutions won't offer much performance benefit over the above, but premium may be justifiable if looking to expand loop.

Swiftech H220X if looking to expand full loop. Rad fans blowing out so its a pull. Nice aesthetics, Cooler and reservoir both lighted up. Just that the mounting of cooler takes a little patience for my case. No regrets tho

Hijack a bit, what is the life span for these aio cooler? I mean does the liquid inside dry up since no way to top up. Believe it will not dry up rite?

Its maintenance free. Never heard of dry up, but pump failure

Although it is called an aio water cooler its not all water only I think, no risk of drying up ever. Ive owned a h100i for 3 years and it works perfectly. It's lifespan is at least better than my h60 and Thermaltake water 3.0.

The fan speed can be adjusted with corsair's software and can be very silent
