Anyone use Source1 aircon copper pipe before?
Goggle and notice it's a provider for Johnson Control and made in Vietnam... Not sure how does it compare to LHCT Thailand made copper pipe.
If given these 2 choices of copper pipes, which one would you suggests? Thanks

indoor btu is not important if we talk about btu, unless we talk about area to cool.

MXY-3H28VG = 22.1k (use rated cap not total cap). i suggest you get a bigger compressor

maybe i should have worded clearer.

is my condenser too small to drive all my fcu?

if you plan to on all at the same time no.

if you plan to either on MSXY-FP10VG X 2 at same time or MSXY-FP10VG X 1 + MSXY-FP13VG at same time then yes

hi, a quik qtn for the butties here.

when submitting for "HDB permit to install an air conditioner" (mines the old HDB flat), is there any need to submit electrical drawings and how much are the typical charges (if any) ?

Hi Guru's, I am considering going with SoCool for their ME System 4 (2x 9k BTU, 1x 12k BTU and 1x 24k BTU). They recommended:

>22 swg tickness copper (brand dsp)
>3c 40 wiring (brand keystone Singapore)
>16mm pvc drainage
>class o 1/2 inches tickness thermaflex insulation

Are these standard insulations? Is Armaflex a better insulation over Thermaflex? If so, is the difference very significant?

go for Armaflex shield, solve the condensation issue

Planning to replace my ageing (22 Years) Sharp Sys 3 Aircon with ME MXY-4H33VG Sys 4 (9x2 + 12 + 18) and was offered by Audio House @ $4942.00 including standard installation. With using climate voucher, it will be $4642.00. Plus additional 1320 eCashback which can be used for future purchases $20 for every $100.

Same system was offered @ $4196 (using Climate voucher) at HN. Is this good price to consider HN over AH.
Anything to take care in terms of installation as HN likely to use 3rd pary installer.
Please advise.
Edit: Audio House NOT GC. Apologies.
Back again:
Living Room: 7.35 x 3.8
Master: 4.35 x 3.5
Bedroom 1: 4.35 x 2.85
Bedroom 2: 3.95 x 3.0

For the above HDB 4 Room size, will it be sufficient if I choose ME MXY-4H33VG Sys 4 - (9k x 3 +18k) instead of 9kx2 , 12k, 18k?

FCU size is ok. MBR 12K

depending on your usage; can do 3+1 or System 4

also, for the older HDB's before the electrical upgrading, i was informed that the current rating might not be able to support a 2nd CU, even with proper application / permit and wiring. correct ?

Plan to order parts and installation by own.
Usually aircon company will provide the specs, if you feel that , the package are low class, can top up for better specs

Master bedroom position is direct blow onto bed or just install at above door?
if above door usually need 12k and direct blow need 9k is good enough

Day Time - Bed Room 1 (Son's room) - Week/Day + Week end - (When no School) but does not run 24 hours.
Living Room - Weekend (Day evening TV time) + 1 or 2 hours in Evening TV Time
Night Time - Most part of the year - Master Bedroom + Bedroom1 + (Bedroom2 when daughter visit from overseas max 30 days a year)
90% of times, maximum 2 units only run simultaneously
Master bedroom position is direct blow onto bed or just install at above door?
if above door usually need 12k and direct blow need 9k is good enough
It is over the attached bathroom door, which is directly blowing over the Bed

FCU size is ok. MBR 12K

depending on your usage; can do 3+1 or System 4
I am not sure Two units are allowed in HDB.

Finally - Is it good to go with HN, as they quoted cheapest but installed by sub-con, or go with GN, who provides in-house installers?

Thanks.

A few posts earlier before you post your reply, there is a way to check with HDB. Look for it to see if you can have 2 condensers.

Based on your usage, don’t see a major issue.

GC have in house and sub-con

HN have no in house

Direct contractors mostly in house and possible sub-con

the thing is do you want a lousy in house or good sub-con? Or die die want a good in house?
