Dear Aircon Experts

Greetings to all :)

Need your help.

I am going to install Aircon first time. My block is about 18 years old, 4 Room 110 SQ Meter.

Below the floor plan and House details

kTgY8L3.png

We usually use Master Room and Bedroom 3 regularly. Bedroom 2 is seldom used for sleeping. Just use for Reading , PC etc. Have Ceiling fan in all the 3 bedroom. North Facing, All bed room have large window. Total family member 2 adults and 1 Grown up teen.

I have marked Bed position, Fixed furniture(Wardrobe) and Pillar running across. New wiring needs to be done as there is no High Current plug.

My Questions are

1) What brand and Model number/ Capacity you recommend.
2) Is System 2 sufficient or System 3 is better now.
3) Any Suggestion where to buy?
4)I saw courts and Great World city(GWC) have 5 years warranty and offers. Any past experience? GWC has 3 years comprehensive warranty. Whats your advise?
5) I have marked all Bed position, Furniture etc. Any suggestion where I should install Aircon coil?
6) Is the additional 3 or 5 years warranty is really important(Additional cost). Any hidden condition I should be aware of.
7. High current plug wiring, What you recommend? Use my own contractor and install or Use Aircon installer service?

Thank you in advance and appreciate your help. :)

To itsme220,

All 3 rooms, 9k is sufficient.
U can consider MIT Electric or Daikin inv sys 3.
Usually warranty is 1 year & 5 years for the compressor.
Maybe u r referring to the extended warranty? (Have to read terms & conditions carefully)
U mean the 15amp power point? Electrician can install for u.

Thanks Terumo. Yes 15 amp power point.

I checked HDB website

Your block has been provided with higher electrical loading. You need not apply for an HDB permit to carry out electrical works/air-con installation works . If you wish to rewire your flat or install additional electrical points for air-con, water heater etc, you need to submit an application (using SP Services Ltd's Form CS/5H) to HDB. Thereafter you may apply to SP Services Ltd to test the extensions.

Does this mean, to install new Aircon, I need 15 A Power socket.

1) So I need to apply Application for SP Services right?
2) Is SP Services test is required? or compulsory?
3) Any Idea how much it costs for SP Services Application submission and Test?

MIT Electric means starmex right?
