Anyone used Hitachi Nano-Titanium Inverter aircon before ? System 3 good or not ? its has 4 ticks for energy saving. Hitachi aircon OK or not ? thanks.

Are they any good? They also dealers for mitsubishi.

Any other recommendations for installers?

Do one usually source for one's installers or use those 3rd parties contractors of the aircon shops or dealers? Have heard many horror stories of screwed-up installations.

Hi, sorry for late reply. Daikin non-inverter with three 9.000btu fan coil $1950.00. Toshiba non inverter with three 9.000 btu fan coil $ 1780.00. All price quote including GST and full installation ( for HDB house only) all price excluding stainless steel braket .

aircon over 10 years

My flat aircon is over 10 years already

it was National , 1996 to 2007 the aircon did a great job for me quiet no issues at all ( never broke down even once)

but 2007 and 2008 , my aircon went for chemcial washing twice due to water dripping issues..

Anyone had bad experience with bad aircon installer called Active M&E Building Services?

Got a daikin non inverter ac from them supply and install... didnt work after 7 days.... called them no replies...and I pay them full cash.... zzzzz

I noticed the compressor dont work when the ac is switched on.... any advise? (apart from calling Daikin direct that is)

I just gotten Gain City to installed my Toshiba System 2.
They are providing 3 years installation warranty for all installation from Aug 2008.

Was told by the Tech that to leave the power on for the compressor unit.
If off, got to on for 5min before switching on the fan coil & some resetting going on..

I actually on use the aircon at night time for few hrs, so think 'always on' not needed..

I just wondering will the compressor wasting electricity if on at all time?

Oh may i know how is the installation for Gain City? Is it good? What pipe and insulation they use for ur Toshiba System? Do you upgrade any insulation?

Copper pipe is 23 SWG, Accoflex Class 1 black insulation & 16mm drain PVG pipe.
Never upgrade as saleman said ok liao.
My 2 room flat is different from normal side to side or back to back type,
my MBR is diagonal opp. to the common room. The technician said 1st time
he installed in my type of design..
He tried to help me to expose as little trunking as possible.
Generally, I am happy with the installation up to today since 25 oct..

It depends on the installation. Price is roughly the same. See what type of insulation they use.

I already stated Black. It is PSB Certified Class 1. What type of extra pipping you
talking about? Installation included & no extra charges as all HDB flat installation
are quite standard.. Unless upgrading the insulation & copper pipe..
I also stated PVC drain pipe 16mm. Model: 3 tick energy label RAS-M18S2AX &
2 X RAS-M10SKPX. Price at $1600 nett including removing old box aircon in MBR &
approved steel bracket for the new ACU.

Actually I did checked Allbest price and around $200 cheaper but saw too many
no good feedback about their installation.

Normally FOC for replacing existing aircon unit, unless new installation not performed by the same company. If charge, est. abt 800~900 for yr sys.

I went to Best Tech at Toa Payoh and they recommended me this two brands and model:

Mitsubishi Electric Starmex Inverter MXY-4A28VA Outdoor unit with 1 x MSXY-GA13VA and 3 x MSXY-13VA indoor units.

Toshiba Aircon Inverter, RAS-M10NKCV x 3 and RAS-M13NKCV with RAS-4M26SACV

Which will be a better system? He keep emphasizing on Toshiba is better because their compressor is made in Japan and they are the original inventor of Inverter Aircons. And he claimed Toshiba will save more electricity by showing us the Energy Label And he said Mitsubishi is popular because they have put alot of money on advertising with Jack Neo on TV, newspaper and etc. The price difference between two is just like $60 (Toshiba $3400, Mitsubishi $3460).

They claimed the agents/distributors giving K-Flex insulators at the moment. and when i ask about using thicker copper pipe for inverter they say it's not good cause theres no enough pressure if the space inside the pipe is big. Is there any shop that can provide better installation materials and better pricing than this?
