actually, it was split between dcc and armourers in the past. then they decided to make flcs.

FLC do not sit around all day, and most definitely do not go home at 5.

Service/technical spec is not any lesser of a spec compared to a combat spec

Yup. It will take roughly 4 months to up to corporal and another ~4 months to 3SG for PES A/B who passed IPPT.

PES C ones takes about 1 month longer to up to the respective rank.

i personally know one obese batch technician that couldn't pass ippt, he was 3 months to ord and still private
so i guess, unless you are exempted from ippt, it is a requirement for promotion

Negative. They can be promoted to LCP.

For CPL, IPPT eligible is a requirement (12 mths of service for combat, 18 mths for service vocations).
