All these years, SG was affected.

Singaporeans do not usually remember stuff like these.....hence they'd only know 2013 (PSI 401) and 2015 (only last year).

They'd tell you 1997 there wasn't any haze, 2006 no haze, even probably 2014 no haze at all. In fact, quite a lot of people mentioned to me that Singapore has very very clean air and 2015 was a short period only.

Annual PM2.5 of 28.3 ug/m3 is clean air? (2013 was approx. 18.x ug/m3 if I remember correctly).

There was haze in 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. and also before that, but I just put last 10 years).

So it's 8 out of past 10 years.....not once every few years.

And all these years had levels confortably above current PSI 100 (inclusive of PM2.5)

If one lives at a low floor without line of sight to at least 10km, he'd probably not notice it. Or you can use a laser particle counter. Or just keep track of this thread.

Coz I search wiki they have a handful spaced a couple years apart about 2-3yr?
Last couple of years were particularly memorable maybe coz its still fresh in our minds

Staying at low floor, probably not that noticeable until it hits us bad

The difference in airflow between XM1 and XM2 is 4.6% only. You won't notice it in the real world at all, even with a laser particle counter you'd barely find any difference in the rate of drop or the best level of particulate matter attainable in the room.

Hard to find local stocks for xm2, if they're priced the same think it's better to get xm1 since I'm not gonna be moving it about anyways

Yeah...the past few years are still fresh on our minds, but we are more like "Sensitive" to our surrounds, hence the participation in this thread.

Go ask your sister, bro, parents, colleagues.....if haze happened in the year 2006, most of them will give you a blank look.

I remember 2006 vividly, coz I kena complained by a wedding couple whom I took them to lower seletar reservoir for actual wedding day outdoor photoshoot. I told them that got haze, so don't expect too much, either that or go T3. They wanted outdoors. Ended up the pictures only foreground can see and background barely visible, kpkb. Basket, like that also photographer's fault.

Yeah, staying on lower floor really can't see much until it's deep into the PSI 100 range....for most folks the only way they'd know is the 3 digit number on the TV upper left corner.

XM2 is slightly less noisy, has quite a fair bit less power consumption (it adds up for a daily user over the years) and of course is significantly smaller.

No 100% bao jiak though.

Either Peninsula Malaysia (NE winds) or Riau province (intermonsoon season, before the Sumatran squalls put them out). Riau province one can only happen in late march during the intermonsoon phase. NE winds dominant before that, Riau can burn to its heart content and no haze here.

AP damn useful when applying screen protector also, just let it blast for half an hour in a small room and stick the screen protector fast, guaranteed to have little to no dust.

Do ap help in reducing dust build up?
eg. Under the bed, the corners, hard to reach places?
