Hmm sorry for noob qn. Is there any issue if I use the LG one which is for 39 sqm, for a room of about 22sqm?

Does this mean I need to turn the power lower ?

No issue. Anyway don't believe the "applicable area" they put. Air purifiers always spec by volume, not area. Just put the LG on High instead of Turbo if the noise too loud for you.

update from the seller...

Exactly it says.
Items will be sent tomorrow.
Views are available from the day after tomorrow.
maybe ...
Next Monday or Tuesday.
You can get the item.

First claim to have sent out the item, after that claim got delay in shipping which I would assume on the part of the shipping company...Now say will ship out the item tomorrow...That's why I find it suspicious that there was no tracking number as the seller did not even ship out the item yet...Really unethical... If item is not ship out due to festive season or low stock, I can understand but lying to a customer is really low of them...

Just for those who didn't know...I placed an order with Daiso on 16 Sep..They flag it as item shipped on 18 Sep...Today, they tell me that they would ship the item out tomorrow and I qould get the tracking number the day after...That is after I asked them for the tracking number which at first they claimed that there was a delay with the shipping company...

maybe cant handle the load... need to make customers feel that they are doing something... thus less frustration...

Use the medium power, second one from top speed. Will be very silent. Clean the room initially with full power for 20 mins.

my Samsung ap now blow out the air got the haze smell laio. wowlau aye better don't on it.

Do close the windows tightly, and doors. Else you are really using up the filter by a lot.

The smell shd go away later...after using it longer during better air quality days.

I saw the spec of some brand purifier (for 25m2) that has this on the box. If the purifier is used in 25m2 room, the air will be cleaned x times an hour. If the room is larger, the number of times the air is cleaned reduces. But CADR is more important. I have a small dinky europace one is supposedly rated to a 22m2 room. But it'll take longer to clean the room than a larger one that is rated to the same area.

Anyway psi 200+ liow. Just went out and got the Samsung AX041. Lots of last minute hooters!

Sigh I tried to place my Samsung AP in the living room to clean the air in the house but my skin starts to itch and I sneeze. Can't even wait long enough for it to clean some of the air.

Short of buying a couple more AP, have given up and instead gonna wear mask when outside my room.

PSI is so high yet my dad insists nothing is wrong. None of my parents wear masks outside either.

No worries, half the units opposite my block have windows open in various stages, ranging from just the top hung open till ALL the windows open also have.

Jin kiang, not like me so lousy.

Re Tips on Samsung Ax40 and Manual

Many pages in this thread. For those who owns Ax40 or buying one, There r good tips written on filters on pages 327-328 . Also, there's a download link for English manual on page 331. Hope this helps to make the search easier for u guys.

Just ordered DIY filters from Taobao. The Hepa filters are cheap at about RMB29 ~SGD 6.60 a piece. But SingPost charged about SGD 9 a piece(SGD 28 for 3 pieces) to send them here to Singapore. Total per piece come up to be close to SGD16. Still much cheaper than original Samsung filter but a bit sian on the high shipping costs.

Measuring the AP output used to give me anywhere between 0 - 10ug/m3 but now it hovers at about 20+ug/m3 :vijayadmin: cannot be time to change already bah? This is a Samsung AX40 custom filter from Taobao, used for about 2 weeks only :s22:
