How accurate is the colour sensor for Samsung AX40 as an indicator of how clean my room is, if i don't have a particle counter?

Realised that today the sensor changes colour rather quickly if I open the door. Last week (since I only received last fri) haze levels weren't so bad and colour rarely changes

i won't put a number to the accuracy. but the sensors are there.
i believe it just detects the airflow and if its lower it changes color

Don't bother with Taiyo hepa 12. Too tiny.
If can get Taiyo hepa 25, still roughly can pass for room use (same league as Sharp A28/Y30/Z31)

Because hepa 25 is out of stock. And I feel like going to the store/warehouse to collect immediately tomorrow. So this hepa 12 act as a spare or bedroom use after the arriving samsung ax40.

Or will it be better to get Sharp A28 but it is much more costly at the price of $139 at the store near my workplace, while taiyo hepa 12 is $81 and can add discount on qoo10.

But I read that sharp A28 is a dust collection filter, not hepa filter, thus thinking it night not be as *worth* as compared to taiyo hepa 12.

Same la. When the maid went to air the house by opening the balcony windows, my AP changed colour to red in 10 seconds. Took a full 15 mins to turn back to blue when the windows were shut tight

Sent from I have the right to complain cos I am the noisy minority using GAGT

whats a dust collection filter?

I did some read up on Sharp A28 model and the filter type stated Dust collection filter. Further reading state that it is (E10 in EN1822) not conforming to Hepa definition.

And there are several kind of hepa filters.
True Hepa and Hepa type.

You can read up more at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HEPA.

E10 is the worse and H12 hepa will be much better. True Hepa will be even better.

I might not be very correct in this term so someone may correct me if I am wrong.

No no no... E10 will work just fine. In fact, the bigger A28 will work much better than miniscule HEPA Taiyo 12. Why? because of sheer airflow! (Taiyo 12 do not have a published airflow, but based on the size in the pic, not too optimistic...)

E10 is like, 85% removal. So after 5 cycles of air, it is practically clean. The miniscule Taiyo 12 on the other hand...

Sharp A28 = trying to empty a 100 gallon tank with a pail that can only fill up to 85% of it's capacity
Taiyo 12 = trying to empty a 100 gallon tank with a 100ml cup
