You have to run the A28 on high in order to get the rated CADR, if you operate it on Medium or Low, the CADR might not achieve enough Air Changes/Hour to keep up with door opening/closing(toilet/drink break). It's rather noisy too as compared to Samsung or even Xiaomi

Yes noisy. Always on high.
But it's cheap and does its job

Wow my DIY AP Ver2 works great like real AP, cheap and good.

Now better airflow and low noise like normal fan sound DBa as well.

Save money but can works with variable hepa sizs and thickness too

I think this is the best setup for Multiple AP in 3/4/5room HDB:

Xiaomi or Mfresh for living room(due to it's higher CADR).

Samsung AX40 for bedroom(due to it's quietness).

i use a duck feather comforter, lots of tiny feathers end up stuck on the pre-filter

TB n daiso local, but Daiso almost out of stock.

Actually is not the sponge, is a soft foam with sticky side tape.

[/B]Just a warning, be very careful about insufficient airflow from the FCU. 100% you'd need to blast it in High speed or even Turbo speed coz yours is like 100% coverage.

I got the xiaomi ap for $285 with 3 months additional warranty (6 months total) after coupon from passion gadgets.

Unfortunately, they took the listing off and you can only buy from them directly from their website(and not get the coupons) and the 23 oct shipment is currently out of stock.

You probably need to pre order and wait 3 weeks, they are the only one explicit with local warranty the rest of the importers are pretty vague.

But if you need one AP urgently, I rather you get AX40 from happy mall, bros here received their AP within a week rather than wait 3 weeks. A lot things can happen in that 2 weeks.

Unless you already have a working one then you can afford to wait.
