Aircon Compressor Cleaning

Just wanted to check if any cleaning/dusting or washing is needed for ac compressor as mine look rather dusty. Anyone clean it other than when it is service by the contractors? I was thinking that if I were to hose the compressor and the water is gonna flow down to my neighbours, they will not be very happy with that ... Any tips is recommended.

Hi Bakasa2002,

It would be good to clean your condenser once in a while.
Best time would be to hose it down during heavy downpour otherwise your neighbours will not be too happy.

You can also get your contractors to do the cleaning for you during your general servicing. We will brush the coils behind and wipe the top of the condenser to try to get rid of the dirt and grime stuck on top as much as possible.

I'm just using my vacuum cleaner to suck those dusts away.
Pretty easy job. Mine is on the air-con ledge. Might be a bit hard for those on the bracket.
