Their battery change is one-for-one exchange. Depending on crowd can be 10 or 30 minutes.

Just go down, no obligation for free diagnosis. Not happy with the price then just don’t do.

How long they will take for changing batteries

You joking right .... replace AirPods 1 with AirPods 2 you not happy?

Don’t make sense to just change 1 side of the AirPods when you know the “better” side will degrade very soon too

Of course? I have gen 2 already so it doesn’t make sense to have 2 gen 2 AirPods

Just did a battery replacement at Apple Store. Really 1 for $69.

They checked my old AirPods and have the battery issue. Told them that my AirPods left side deplete very fast and Battery was like from 50% go up to 90%+ in less than a minute.

I told them say change both sides and they did a 1 to 1 exchange for me at $138.

Now the battery drop very slow. Was at 93% just now at around 6:50pm. Now 7:30pm battery is at 80% for both sides for both.

Overall quite satisfied. They say there is no way to maintain the battery level. Worth the money.

And yes the changed 1st gen for 1st gen. They even showed me in their system

Sounds cool, I may drop by Apple store to get both side exchanged especially when I drop one side several times , can consider get the standalone wireless charger at the same time too

I dropped my old one several times too, and there is some soft static sound when nothing is being played on the background. It’s very obvious when you are in a quiet room. The replacement one which I have doesn’t have any

Hmm I dint hear any soft static sound esp when I use the earpod outside most of time. But the batt life is erratic, sometimes it last for slightly less than an hour, sometimes it’s ok. Wonder if it’s charger connector issue. Still Guess I wait till sept announcement before changing.

It’s the battery issue. Mine has the same exact issue with yours. You can see the battery life after charge. If it hits 100% then it’s battery.

Yeah worth the replacement if you don’t intend to get a new AirPods anytime soon.

It can last around 4.5 hours to 5 hours without charging from 100%. I have used this current AirPods for 1 week and I am loving it.

Previously after lunch I use the AirPods, after 1 1/2 hours I have to charge, now with this new one it can last me after work.

They don’t change your battery of your current AirPods, they do a 1 to 1 exchange so it’s as good as new.

Is it worth to replace? Mine the issue is the right always undetected and battery deplete faster than left

so TS owns both AirPods 1 and 2. Kept the AirPods 2 deadstock as he plans to use the 1s till the battery is goes kaput.

next he talked about replacing his AirPods 1 battery(no idea why? already owns a 2). Worried that they will change his airpod 1 to 2(wtf? reason being he already owns a 2)

went ahead and paid battery replacement for the airpod 1. no idea why did he buy the 2s in the 1st place anyway.

i guess this is how you hit nearly 9k post in less than 2 years posting drivels on the internet

Hi all,

For those who went for AirPods gen. 1 battery replacement at S$69 (meaning, they actually just swap your old worn AirPod with new) at official Apple Stores, if I decide to swop both left/right pcs ($69 x 2), do you think Apple would replace my AirPod gen. 1 with AirPods gen. 2?
