Airpod 1 is still good Im still using it without any issue almost 1 year already haha i dont think there is a need to upgrade to airpods 2 just get 1 cheaper and works the same.

I bought mine in Sept 2017 and now the batteries doesn't hold that well. Also it doesn't charge to 100% anymore. Other than this, it is a great product, one of those things that I use everyday without issues.

Same. Mine like faulty already. When I take out it says both sides 90+%. After 30 mins one side left 10%. I think gg already. Quite disappointed at the lifespan.

It’s not faulty but battery degrade over time. Furthermore AirPods battery is so small so degradation is magnified. It’s west and test of the battery.

Mine is better. It will let me use for over an hour or so. May investigate lower cost options (like Creative's) when mine is completely died.

I own 3x fully wireless earpod before. From the Kickstarter Fireflies, to Indiegogo Pamu, and china brand, and also tested on my friend's branded wireless earbuds. They all have the same issue. Drop connection. Many a times, you can only listen to one side. The other side is totally a hit and miss. When Airpod 1 came out, I was skeptical and did not get it. But finally take a plunge when Airpod 2 is out. And I have totally no regrets.

Of cos all batteries will degrade over time. But to this fast extent? Its like saying its normal for this expensive product to not last after a year.

I don't use it on a daily basis and each time I used is probably around an hour or less. Just a year passed and it can't last for an hour each time I take them out and use.

I foresee mine will be dead 6 months from now.

For those using airpods for calls, does the airpods pick up alot of the surrounding noise that the other party on the line can't hear you clearly?

AirPods will have better sound quality.

I think when I bring my iPhone XS for servicing then I bring my AirPods change battery
