would like to know is there an express City Line that went from airport straight to Phayathai w/o stopping inbetween those 6 to 7 stations ?

I went there b4, but basically only 2 lines, I can't rem the name of the other line and i took the City Line, but it was not Express and stop at all stations.

Could you care to elaborate more ?

one is the express line which goes to makassan station, which cost around 150b. the next one is the every stop will stop... is around 40b to rajaphop station, which is near pratunam. Hotels near there are baiyoke suite, baiyoke sky, budacco, kl palace, myhotel, khurana inn, metro , pavilion, alphine, walking distance to there is about 10 minutes. So if u stay around platinumal mall, such as arnoma , centrepoint petchaburi, glow first hotel, first house, you might not want to alight here, else u have to walk around 25 min to reach there

Go to the counter, tell lady that you want single/return express train ticket to Makassan/Phaya Thai station. Express train abit more atah..their city line ma chiam MRT, all sit in one row

Just a side note, there is a longer waiting time for the express trains which we found out before taking it. I think the waiting and journey time can make up for the normal train ride to Phayathai.

To me, it was not worthwhile to take the Express service. It is a lot more expensive and it is so infrequent. The route is the same.

yeah! somemore if u going to pratunam area, you have to take the train to makassan then alight and change to the city shuttle train

My hotel is near Ratchathewi Skytrain station so I will just take the Express direct to Phaya Thai and change to BTS. Is there a lot of walking switching from Express to BTS line?

Or am I better off to take a cab from Phaya Thai to my hotel.

Is like paya lebar east line walk to circle line.
However, it is open space, not underground

If I have a group and much luggage, I will take a taxi. One has to get to the ground level of the ARL station, walk to the BTS station, get to its platform level, buy tickets, etc...
Your hotel is only 500m away, if I am traveling light, I will walk.

Cab from the airport to pratunam area is around 450B , excluding toll charges

then from there cab to hotel.. can save $

If 2 or 3 person then take cab

coz 1 person take cab = 450-500B vs take train/BTs = 100B
4 person must take 2 cabs since luggage cannot fit = 1000B vs take train/BTs = 400B

my opinion is just take normal train..

anyway its quite easy to find ur way to the bts station, its still the same building and there are signs

like the other bro mentioned, paya lebar green line to circle line liddat..
